This operation can only be done by authorized users.

  • Step 1: To identify the emission sources associated with an activity that you want to track on the platform, click the Add Source button in the upper right corner after entering the Data tab. After clicking the button a screen will open to help you add a new source.
  • Step 2: From the Select Activity screen you can choose which activity is associated with the source you will define.
  • Step 3: After the activity selection, the details of the source are determined on the Define Sources screen in the second step.
  1. Source Name: Specifies the name that will appear on the screen for data entry. You can enter the name you want for your resource.
  2. Filtering: Depending on the activity you choose, selection fields may come under the titles of Disposal MethodsUsage ForVehicleRefrigerantTravel Method. The selections made here are used to filter the data. This area will not be available for some activities.
  3. Type: Represents the data type selected field. It varies according to the selected activity.
  4. Source Unit: It is the field where the unit to be entered is selected. It varies according to the selected type definition.
  5. Intensity target parameter: This is the field where you choose how to follow the targets you define for the source. You can choose nothing from the options, or you can choose one of the expressions area and number of people.
  • Step 4: From the Emission Factors screen, you can choose from existing emission factor libraries. Relevant factors are automatically found and matched with sources and locations. Or you can define emission factors in terms of N2O, CH4, CO2, and CO2e. If CO2e is left empty, it will be calculated automatically according to AR5.
  • Step 5: After filling in the information on all screens, the source is saved by clicking the Save button.
