Step 1: To determine the emission sources associated with an activity you want to monitor on the platform, you can create a new source and choose the emission calculation method as spend based. In addition, you can use the spend based method by changing the emission calculation method for an existing source.

Step 2: In the steps of adding the source, the source activity is selected from the Select Activity Screen to determine what kind of activity the source is related to. Source name, type, unit and density target parameter are determined from the Define Sources screen. Proceed by selecting cost-based method as the emission calculation method selection from the Emission Factors screen. When the emission calculation method is selected, there are different libraries according to the cost and consumption method, and select the appropriate library selection from the Emission Factors screen.

Step 3: In the steps of adding an existing source, the source activity is selected from the Activity screen to determine what kind of activity the source is related to. Source name, type, unit and density target parameter are determined from the References screen. Continue by editing the emission calculation method selection from the Emission Factors screen as the cost-based method. When the emission calculation method is selected, there are different libraries according to the cost and consumption method, and choose the appropriate library.

The libraries also vary according to the currency. Therefore, if it is desired to edit the emission calculation method, it is necessary to edit the emission factor source.

Step 4: After filling the information on all screens, the source is saved by clicking the Save button.

Those who have the authority to add sources can add by applying this article.
