You can establish a new source to identify the emission sources linked to a specific activity under monitoring on the platform. During this process, you can select the emission calculation method as spend-based. Furthermore, you can apply the spend-based method to an already existing source by modifying the emission calculation method.
Adding a new source:
In the process of adding a source, proceed by selecting the 'cost-based' method for emission calculation from the 'Emission Factors' screen. Different libraries are available based on cost and consumption methods when choosing the emission calculation method. After selecting the emission calculation method, choose the appropriate library from the Emission Factors screen.

Existing source:
To modify the emission calculation method for an existing source, you can navigate to the Source Management page, select the 'Edit Source' option, and proceed to change the emission calculation method from the 'Emission Factors' section. Specifically, choose the 'cost-based' method for emission calculation.
The libraries also vary according to the currency. Therefore, if it is desired to edit the emission calculation method, it is necessary to edit the emission factor source.
After filling in the information on all screens, the source is saved by clicking the Save button.
